Very useful app to do spaced repetitions - I have thousands cards which I repeat on a regular basis. However, it needs adoption for iPhone 6 screen - if Im attempting to edit the card and the Answer section contains a lot of text, the keyboard overlaps with the bottom part of it, and theres no way to scroll down - basically u dont see what youre editing. Please, fix this.

Please, oh God, please! Add the opportunity to edit current desks, not only cards in the studying desks! And I think that everybody want to add new cards to current desk, so please, just do it!

The price seems relatively high but considering the excellent work made by Damien for years in building an excellent desktop and online version the chance to use the mobile version on the iPhone is a great opportunity. Another point is that despite being just at the 2nd release the program is rock solid and very reliable. The possibility to add and edit cards introduced in the latest release is essential. Personally Im still missing a search option to find cards and the possibility to download other decks ... Well spent money !!

The most valuable app, ok may be the next most valuable after email. I happily paid $25 to support after using the free Windows program for two years. Great job and thank you.

Ive used hundreds of different tools to study Japanese, but Anki by far was the most helpful.

Anyone who balks at the price of this hasnt realized how valuable it can be. Creating your own content can make it so you can learn concepts quickly, and be able to practice the data over and over until you get it right. Cramming for exams, passing finals, learning for quizzes - this program makes it easier. The PC version is free. The web sync utility is free. The developer charges for the IOS version, and doesnt charge enough for what this adds to the educational process. I can PASS classes purely because of this app. Worth every penny of the $25.

I love Anki, dont get me wrong. In fact, compared to some of the web-based SRS flashcard systems, Ive realized that Anki blows them out of the water when it comes to importing a ton of words, as well as the speed at which I can do my review/learning. Im giving this two stars though, because its just too much of a pain to have to manually sync everything all the time. If I make cards on my Mac, I have to remember to sync, then load up the app on my phone and sync there. After Ive studied on my phone, I have to remember to sync again so that its back on the Mac. The process continues. Its such a nuissance!! Please, please! At the very least, add in a feature so that when Im done reviewing on the phone, it will sync back to the server automatically. I know this isnt too much to ask, and it would greatly simplify using the app.

Simple, reliable, its the quintessential spaced-repetition-flashcard app.. The scratch pad was dramatically improved, which means language learning, math, and organic chemistry a lot easier.

ANKI app review: 6/8/16: Appreciate the new update. Seems like my $25 is finally paying off. I still cannot save / "open in" / upload my back ups to another sources, as I have described below. Also, in the edit screen, tapping on the camera icon to add pictures always crashes the app. Also, tapping on the word Edit on the center top of the screen also causes the app to crashes. Needs some fine tuning and the ability to move backups to another app or cloud. 4/20/16: Love the app. Still need backups to be saved to email or Dropbox. Otherwise, nothing else is urgently needed. 3/3/16: happy to see the new update. Its a big one. However, Im too scared to update right now because if there Is a major bug, then I would have to use my laptop or the anki web. I will way for more reviews to show up to make sure it is safe to update. I did not see an option for dark/night mode in the log of updates. I hope its implemented. While using the iPad pro, the bright white background really hurts my eyes, even at the lowest brightness setting. Because the screen is so big, theres a lot of light coming at my face. I know I can use the inverted screen mode that iOS offers, but then all my pictures are inverted to. Because of this, I have to keep switching from inverted mode to normal mode when there is a picture in a card. Update on January 2016: still no meaningful update. Im using this on my iPad pro. While creating a card, selecting a word is buggy. The cursor scrolls vertically even though I am just tapping and holding a single letter. Still cannot zoom in on pictures. The boxes for creating cards is too small. Still cannot paste a picture in to cards. Have to select through photo library, which is a pain. I know this was promoted as a companion app. But that was several years ago. For $25 dollars, I expected the app to perform at an standard level after a couple years of development. This app is neglected. Save your money and use the ankiweb. Or use Flashcards Deluxe, which is a premium app with more functionality than this pos. Previous review Anki: please add an action extension which would allow us to make a cloze deletion card from other apps directly to anki. We still need to come up with a efficient way to creating anki flashcards on the ios and I think this will be a great step towards it. Also, the app desperately needs a share sheet which should allow us to input content into a specific deck. Charge us more but at least get it done. Include some in-app purchases if it needs to be that way.

Unlike what other reviewers have said, you can in fact make flashcards using this app! Obviously its faster to make the cards on the computer version, but THERE IS CAPABILITY TO MAKE FLASHCARDS USING THE APP. Im very happy with this app and feel the $25 was worth it because Im able to use it while walking to class. This opens up new time to study and is well worth the donation to the developer.

Ive been using Anki for three years via the desktop app and the mobile website. It should be said that those two are enough to manage studying for those on a budget, but this app makes the mobile experience amazing. I feel that this app is worth every penny I spent on it. Its also even more comforting to see that it gets regular updates and doesnt fall into a state of disrepair as so many other study tools tend to. To the developer: great work, what youve made is invaluable to me as a study tool.

I was a little worried about spending $25 on a flash card app but I think it is worth every cent. I already have been using the software on my computer for a couple years, but I decided to buy the app since I was going out of the country soon and need a quick and efficient way to study. Initially when I purchased the app I couldnt make a flash card without it shutting me out of the app. But I contacted anki support and they fixed the problem, THAT DAY! Couldnt be more satisfied :)

App now has the capability to create new flashcards! Although the computer version has more card creation options and is faster, being able to have a similar platform on the mobile app is a plus. Definitely worth the purchase and supporting the developers efforts!

Love this app - pretty sure this app is largely responsible for me getting through medical school. Absolutely worth the price. Idea - I would love to see notification badges as cards become due. Something to nudge me throughout the day.
