A step down
Ive used AnkiMobile for almost as long as its been around in conjunction with the free desktop companion. Remember that you always need both, so any issue affecting the desktop companion will affect the App. AnkiMobile 2.0.1 is marginally improved over version 1.x, although synchronization issues remain: Media is often not synced completely. But the desktop companion version 2 has gone from a simple interface and logical system of organizing facts and cards to a complicated and counterintuitive system that undermines popular study approaches. I cannot recommend investing much study time with this app at the moment, because your scheduling information (i.e. the history of your repetitions) will become so important to you that it will effectively lock you into the use of this App. Much simpler and cheaper Apps like iFlash, Flashcards, and Study for iPhone are better bets.
